Can't install windows xp over windows 7

hey guys,
i'm trying to downgrade from windows 7 to windows xp, by inseting an windows xp CD.
but when i open the setup.exe file it opens a message saying that i can't downgrade from a newr version to a older.
so i really don't know how to figure it out. wish someone could help me please!

You need to boot from your windows installation cd to make the downgrade of system,have the guided instructions by referring to Faq using this link:
