File type/extension

Hello,

I have a trial of photoshop cs5 I am trying. I was trying to convert the nef files to jpeg. What I ended up doing is moving a lot of files to a new folder in an unreadable format. No program I have will open the images....says not the right type of document. They have no extension now like jpeg or nef. How can I fix this so the images are accessable again?

Dear Amy,

Photoshop always works best with the known formats: psd and jpeg

If you open a camera loaded file in another format such as nef always "save it or save it as one of the Photoshop known formats otherwise you will be, sort of speek, marooned up the stream without an oar.

The ex .nef files are now corrupted and can not longer be of any use to you.
