Laptop will not reboot properly

Good day
I was wondering if somebody could assist me in a problem I am having with my laptop. It runs windows XP but will not reboot properly. It seems to want to restart itself over and over. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem without loosing all of my files and personal things stored on my laptop?

Hi there,

Can you boot in safe mode at least?press the F8 key holding it on start of system,then give your feedback for more instruction to fix the issue.
