I cant install my new hard drive

Hello, I just bought a new seagate barracuda 3.5" internal drive and i cant install it but i also didnt plug in the sata cord to the motherboard do iu need to do that if so then i also couldnt find my port to plug the satacable into PLEASE HELP

Yes. you need to plug it in before the hard drive will work. Both the data cable and the power cable. Then you will need to format the drive before it c am be used.

Dear Dave,

You could also have it connected instead of your cd rom drive.
