Keyboard stuck??

My desktop crashed and I tried to reformat (via XP system disk) but once I get to the screen that says do you want to repair, reformat or quit, my USB keyboard doesn't work. And of
course I don't have a ps/2 connection on my computer that would allow me to use that kind of keyboard instead

The problem is directly coming from the USB port. You should have all the drivers installed before having the possibility to use them correctly.
