Dell dimension 3100 start-up problem

Hello,
my dell dimension 3100 ,when I shut down and try to start up it wont, I have to unlug the power cable and take the bios battery out and put back in (not replace battery) the its starts up.?????. thanks ron.

Hi there,

Try replacing the bios battery and power on machine to see the difference and revert back to me for more help on the matter,

hi. iv changed the bios battery and plugged the power in ,it flashes on the startup button then goes off., ie take the bios batt out put back on it starts up.. thanks ron.

thanks .iv changed the bios battery and its still the same .no responce from the power button.
