Yahoo Mail service provides a fabulous security settings whereby some attachements containing viruses are not allowed to be uploaded and sent to others. The first thing that you must make sure is whether the file does not have any virus or trojan infection. Also check out whether the file is not too bulky for getting it uploaded.
If there is no problem with these, get to your Attachment settings, you will get to know clearly why you are not able to get the file attachement uploaded. Get to Tools and then from the Security tab, see whether the feature "Do not allow attachements to be saved or opened that could contain a virus" is enabled or disabled. If it is enabled, this is why this actual problem is being experienced.
Uncheck it and click Apply. If the files are too bulky, get them compressed. By the way, have you tried the Browser Plus application by Yahoo Mail, it is simply extra ordinary, you will be stunned by this application which helps you upload files easily. Get more information for it from below:
