Question

Hello, I have built a new computer for myself for the first time, i have put in a new CDROM and it is working but when i put the back, it will not open. I can usually work things out after a while but this has me completely baffled. Can you help



Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

What you mean when ''put the back'' you mean the jumper configuration?more information on this please,

Hello, When i plug the IDE cable in, the drive will not open but when unplugged, the drive opens. Any help would be most apreciated.

Well said, you should check whether it has been properly connected.
