Blank screen

Hello,

When I turn on my HP Pavilion ze4500 the screen still works but when it is done downloading the screen turns blank. And if it stays on for a while the screen goes blue but then turns off. please help me asap

What is it downloading?updates?please give more information what exactly happens with details if possible.
