i reset my lap top to the original factory settings. i was wondering if there is a way that i can go into the computer and find my old files? I have the Dell inspiron 1525? thank you.

Not really! The Dell software reformatted your drive when it set everything back to factory status. If the data is worth about $100 US you could buy special recovery software and try a recovery. But when you install the recovery software it may load over the top of the very data you want to recover. If its a limited amount of data you can get a trial version of software from this site https://www.ontrack.com/en-us/data-recovery/software
