Nothing appears when I type

Hello,



When I type nothing appears on the screen. I've tried pressing Number lock, scroll lock, and a whole lot of other buttons but nothing has helped. I do however see a locked sign that is lit. Please help, I know this seems really silly.

Make and model of your computer

Your Os

What application are you using when typing.
