CD/DVD drive trouble. Closed

Question

Hello,  I recently tried to install new software on my computer but the CD drive will not read any cds i put into it. It does appear in BIOS and My Computer and I already tried deleting corrupted registry files and Windows Diagnostics still with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.



Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.12

Hi,

If it does not appear in bios then there must be an issue with connections inside,if its sata then change the cable or ide then do the same and try also a lens cleaner.
