Black screen during start up Closed

Question

Hello, 


My system went to reboot and failed. It is a Dell XPS 400 with windows XP media.
I start the PC and it looks like it is starting, the dell screeen appears and then a blue bar flashes on the top then a black screen. I press the keys and i get -Beeps.  If i crt+alt+delete i can F2,F12 and F8 yet nothing works . 
Anybody know what's goin on?

your graphics card set up is wrong.
Try removing and reseating the card
Check all cables from monitor to card are securely fixed
Remove the driver files for the card
Use the windows generic vga drivers to see if the problem is definately related to your drivers
Get the latest bios, and drivers for your card and mobo
Try reducing the refresh rate of the monitor.
Press F8 during startup and select use vga mode
