To upgrade vista

Hello,
my laptop is of HP company, i have a problem in it, i cant install new programs on it, and cant run the system restore and cant run device manager also, it prompt the dialog like "resource in use" , hence there is the image of windows vista on D: drive of my computer,, thus i want to make a bootable cd from that image and want to upgrade the vista in my laptop.... can u please help me with this.....

hi,
i think the problem is with the Vista!
I think you have a problem with the initial configuration.
if it is possible, reinstall it.

hello,
yes of course i have vista home premium installed in my laptop. i want to re install it... i also have image of the vista saved in d: drive so can u plz guide me how to make a bootable cd from that and reinstall in the computer. waiting for your response
