I have windows 2000 I am trying to download

Hello,
I have a Ipod and we bought one for our daughter, I used to have windows vista on my old computer, but on the new computer that my husbands dad gave us only has windows 2000. I tried typing in the question about how to install itunes for the windows 2000, it started downloading the itunes and then stopped in the middle saying that it cannot finish due to I do not have windows xp or windows vista. Do you have any advice for me?

Did you try to download and install this special iTunes version for windows 2000 : https://support.apple.com/downloads/iTunes_7_3_2_for_Windows_2000 ?
