Ipod nano froze with time and battery on disp

Hello,
I'm having horrible luck, i was sleeping listening to my music and i knew my ipod would die while i was sleeping so i just let it go, but when i woke up the screen was frozen with the time and how much battery i had, i tried resetting it, i tried plugging it in the computer, i tried everything but it wont work, and itunes said it was coruptted, does that mean i need a new ipod? D:
