Try this 1
Check whether the files are not in hidden mode.
Click on Start --> Run --> Type control folders and press Enter.
"Folder Options" window will be opened. Click on "View" tab --> Select the option
"Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck the check box "Hide protected
operating system files" and click on OK.

i read your query its small problem dont worry. Iam also faced the same problem & finaly i got the solution. follow the following steps it will help you to recover the datas from pendrive or system hard drive.
1. Dont format your drive.
2. go to google & download a software named "disk digger".
3. run the Exe file.
4. recover your valuable datas.
5. some files will not recoverable in this method.
6. then format your drive/pendrive & use it safely.
