Can you please help me with this problem, i turn on my 2007 hp laptop (windows vista) and the screen stays black and the laptop keeps turning its self off than rebooting on its own

Hello,
I have had the very same problem which is physical. In other words no solution provided in this forum would work.
The issue resides in your motherboard which can only be repaired by a in the flesh technician. I believe that the problem occured after a power surge. A good technician would not only be able to repair but also save you data.
