Unable to complete formatting CDs

Hello,

I am having a problem with Windows Vista not being able to format my new cd rws - comes up with "unable to complete formatting". Can anyone come up with a solution to the problem?

Hi,

Cd cannot be formatted like you do it for removable devices,you need to have a rewritable media type cd/dvd then use nero eraser or other software for burning to erase ot for you,
