Hello,

I have an old tablet PC with an external monitor (9-pin connector). The desktop shows on the external monitor, but none of the items. Nor does it show any programs - just the desktop photo. The photo has more area to it - the laptop one is cut down a bit.
any help would be great. Thanks.

Okay, weirdest thing - the mouse scrolls all the way to the right on the laptop - then appears at left on the external monitor.

how my help works, I'm not sure any longer---do you have setup for the monitor?
If this is done in the control panel, go to it and see if it has capability, look at those pssibilities.....

If not, check with the monitor manufacturer to see if they have driver software that will help you...

John

If not, let me know and I'll try to have more questions for you.

You have the 2nd monitor configured as an extension of the first. I assume you want it to display a screen identical to what's on the laptop. I would look in the graphics screen in the "Control Panel" (probably the "intel graphics icon").

Good Luck

That's what extended means. If you want the same image on both the laptop and the external monitor then choose "clone" as the type in the control panel.

By the way using W T F will get your posting automatically deleted.
