Please help acer aspire d255 freezing

Hello,

hi there
just got a brand new acer aspire d255 the screen will freeze and mouse and keyboard will not work have to turn off and turn on so annoying
please help

I had that same exact issue with mine and it didn't matter what OS I loaded it did the same thing, however if you log onto Acer's website they have Bios updates you can download for this model and they're very simple to use. I updated my Bios and haven't had a problem since.

Do you know the Version of BIOS used to update?

From reading the descriptions, it must be 3.14 but I am not sure. I am having the same trouble you are and I am tired of it so hopefully installing it will stop that annoying problem.

I read somewhere that it had to do with the mousepad, and recently I noticed when I over use the mousepad or try to scroll with it, it freezes....so you can try to use an external mouse or just avoid the touchpad. idk if there is a fix/update for it yet
