Dear King,
Since, you reformatted your system, we can be sure that it's not caused by a virus but a hardware. Restarts can also occur with desktops.
Your laptop may have been subjected to recurrent power surges when plugged in. Is this possible where you live? Like if the power goes out, even for a second and if you leave your laptop connected, there will be a sudden surge. Poor electrical systems will also cause power surges.
If you experienced the above, your motherboard may have been damaged and will require a in the flesh technician to repair.
I am talking from experience.
Good luck
