My computer keeps restartingClosed

Question

My computer keeps restarting every 5 seconds. Everything was normal the day before and now it keeps restarting.

I can get into bios and then it doesn't restart.

I have 2 OS: xubuntu and windows xp.

What can I do without loosing my data from the hard drive?

I already:

got into bios and stayed there without restarting problem

win installation disc - selected repair - didn't know what to do with command prompt - so I shut it down

since it didn't restart during those actions I would say it's not hardware problem or processor overheating

processor cooling fan is also functioning properly

i have experienced this kind problem before, u need to reinstall another version of  os,

I'm sorry to say but it is definately a motherboard problem to which only a hands-on qualified technician can attend to.

May be you have problem related with Memory.
You must try cooling pad.

Make sure that there are no unwanted files in your hard disc drive 

daily make sure and copy them on to cd drive and fully delete from computer hard drives

this will work without shudown computer
