Hey,

Recently, I have a problem with my acer. On startup, my screen says A disk read error has occurred. Press ctrl alt del to restart. I know that there are several threads and questions about this same issue but none of those have helped me in any way. I have looked in other sites and guides, but none worked. Could this be a problem with something internal, such as a cable? All help is appreciated!!!

Hello,
Try this 1
Most of the laptops have the option in the BIOS to test their hard disk.
Go to BIOS and check if there is any option like "Hard disk test". Run hard disk test.
Also let me know if you have a Windows CD\DVD ?
