HP keyboard not working on Vista login page.

Hello,

My HP Laptop Keyboard is not working on login - Vista
I have an HP Pavilion which is about 3 years old and is generally fine. However, when I booted it up yesterday, I could not enter my password. Only a few keys on the keyboard were recognized - very few keys.
The same thing happened when I tried to connect to an external keyboard, hence I am not able to login to my Vista because I can't key in my password at the login screen.

Appreciate some advise and solution please? Thank you!

i think keyboard hardware doing mulifunctioning
or it can be virus which records u keystrock i.e pwd which disable key when any system start it run services drivers and bat file which can also some magic over i think u need to restore os

1 option
press F8
select recent hardware cnfig
start os

i think u problem will solved

I'm having the same problem! The only key working is backspace so I cannot log in:(
