Laptop screen broke!! Closed

ive just broke my laptopo screen and its not showing anything i have about 500 songs and 100 pictures how do i recover these?

hello,
you can put in a normal desktop monitor into your laptop.
there should be a button somewhere along your number keys 1 - 0 with a screen.
if you hold the fn (function) key and press that button, the display will switch to the monitor.
