Sound recording problem with HP Pavilion dv60 Closed

Hello,
I am Abdul Qahar Jawad in Kabul Afghanistan. My computer has sound recording problem niether the branded mics work nor the external headphone mic can work. This the trouble that I can not record things in my computer ( HP Pavilion dv600). 
Please guide me what to do ?

hi,
There are no drivers for the microphones, only a driver for the sound card. Once your soundcard is detected your microphone should work... unless its muted.
check if it is in mute mode.

Hey Tony, please indicate on which specific application you are having such trouble for the fact that the problem might be coming from its configuration settings.
