HP laptop Keyboard Problem

Hello,
i have an hp pavilion laptop and when i press the 'at' key like in an email address i get " .

also when i go to log in various sites it says i have an incorrect password, using a friends computer with same passwords etc. it logs straight in.

i don't know if these are related but they both appeared at the same time. i reinstalled Windows 7 but the fault remains

Most often this is a problem with "keyboard language". I would go to the Control Panel and check the language. You may have a English keyboard with the software set to Spanish.
