Maybe - but only if the "Wireless Modem" is certified to work with your cable provider. A safer bet is to buy a "Wireless Router" that you connect to your existing modem. This solution also gives you 3 or 4 Ethernet connections. If you shop around you might find one with a USB printer port also.
