No sound after reinstallation xp pro

Hello,

i reinstalled windows xp pro now i have no sound its an ibm thinkpad t42 pls help

Greetings,

This is due to the effect that Windows Xp do not install drivers after an installation. You have to go to the site below to download your sound driver:
https://support.lenovo.com/fr/en/

i tried that and it didnt work any other suggestions ?

i went into the device manager and updated the driver and it work many thanks xxxxxxx
