Date and F9 Automation URGENT!!

Hello,
I have a report in EXCEL 2007 that has a master sheet. On the Master sheet I have a DATE field that currently has to be manually updated every day. This date will then populate on another page in the workbook. Once the date is updated to the current date I then manually refresh the data in the report using F9. I am wondering if there is a way to automate this process so that when the report is opened the date with auto update on the master sheet and then auto F9 the data?

sounds like your auto calc mode is set to manual. check in excel options
