Itunes upgrade promblem

Hello,
i have itunes but i have just bought the new ipod nano and when i plug it into my computer it says i need to upgrade me itunes to 8.0 , i then click on the free udgrade and enter my email address but because my computer wont allow popups or apllications it will not upgrade it .... what do i do?????

Please take time to disable your firewall or antivirus temporarily before you try to download the upgrade.
