Hello,
Hi there everybody, i was wondering if anyone could help me with my problem. I'm not very well versed in Windows 7 and i need some help. I plugged my portable hard drive into a virus ridden computer and picked up a virus that hid all my files. I scanned for viruses and cleaned all my drives but my files were still hidden. I found a command on the internet that allowed me to unhide the files but now I have the above mentioned letters and numbers above my folders on the hard drive. I was wondering how to remove them without rehiding the files. If anybody can help me I would really appreciate it. Incidentally the command I used to hide the files was attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.* . When I try the opposite it just hides my files again. Any help from anyone would be truly appreciated.
These numbers above my files are weird and I really want to get my portable back to normal.
Sincerely
Debbie

try using the software FREE COMMANDER. U can get it from the following link
https://freecommander.com/en/downloads/

just install it and it shows all the list of files in your hard disk or any other. Then you can manually unhide the folders by going into the folder options<tools<(show hidden.......)>

Hey, thanks for the answer, could you please elaborate on how to use freecommander. I can use it to unhide files but I still have those letters above my files. Thanks for your trouble.
