My Laptop won't show the start up screen Closed

Hello, 
I have a Windows 7 Laptop and when I start it it says it Recommends Launch Startup Repair and when I press it enter it loads my files and then the screen just goes comepletly black for what it seems like forever.
It also says to start Windows Normally but when I do that it just goes back onto the Windows Error Repair. Please Help! 


Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.15

I expect you need to start it from the Windows DVD and do a repair. It's possible that you have a hardware problem with reading some sectors on the hard disk.
