Inspiron 1545 liquid spill repair
Closed
Hello, I spilled tea on my laptop and shut it down. After it dried out it will boot but it shuts down in a couple of minutes. I am thinking it may be a short. I haven't cleaned it all up yet , that's my next step. Any suggestions? The spill was on the right side of the machine. I think their maybe a path shorting things out in the residue?

Hello chasstuart,
The case is worst if you added a lump of sugar a dash of cream to your Earl Grey.
No doudt that it is a short. Depending on the size of area, you can try removing keys and try to clean with either alcohol or a spray for cleaning connections. Otherwise, I am afraid to say, only a qualified in the flesh technician can repair and don't let him tell you that the keyboard needs to be replaced.
Good luck
