Hello, 
In the last few days if any of our laptops are not booted up and waiting to get on first thing no one else can join (Wii) unless we reset router.
Got one Message saying 2 computers have same IP address, and I am not sure why this uddenly started to happen.

open the command prompt in the computer,

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

it will renew the IP from the router.

I forgot to say one thing, in Windows 7 you have the option to find and fix the issue. Click over the network connection and do the Troubleshoot problem.
