Laptop wont power all way up even on charge

Hello,

I have a hp pavaillion and I am having trouble out of it everytime I go to power it up it shuts itself off even when its on charge.sometimes it will load all the way then shut off or shut off in seconds. please help.

Hi, i'm sorry to hear your problem it's a pain when this sort of thing happens.
I'm have a few questions for you,
How old is the laptop? Does the shutdown happen even when the laptop has been left untouched for hours?
When it has shut down and you touch the keyboard/panel to the left of the mousepad with the palm of your hand does it feel hot?

I'm leaning towards a heat-control issue here
