I need some help! One day,While I was surfing,My laptop screen went black,But seemed to be still running so I had to take out the battery to turn it off to restart it!
It kept happening despite my attempts to fix the problem and now my laptop won't start up at all!!! The lights come on for a few seconds then it just dies!
I'd like to know if this Can this be fixed and more importantly if I have or will lose all my stuff such as pictures, music, documents etc...
Thanks for any help you can give : )
It's a 2 or 3 year Advent 5431 laptop btw methinks.

Hello,

Try this:

Remove all USB cable.

Unplug the power cord --> Remove the battery --> Hold the power button for 60

seconds --> Connect the power supply then try to switch ON the laptop and later

put the battery back into the laptop.

Good Luck!

Try this 1

1) Remove the RAM from the slot, clean it and place it back properly or try another

slot.

2) Try once again by connecting your laptop to the external monitor.

Connect your laptop to the external monitor and then Switch ON your laptop.

If you failed to get the display in external monitor, then use the proper

combination keys(like Fn+F5/ the function key that's having the monitor symbol

on it) to toggle between your laptop screen and the external monitor.

Good Luck

Try to repair corrupted system files and corrupted registry entries, remove unsupported devices or incompatible softwares. If you had recently installed a device that is no longer functioning, then remove it.
