Hello,

All my folders on the pen drive and external hardrive has got converted to Shortcut.
I tried using the run > CMD .. then typed attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*
It says ACCESS DENIED.

Meanwhile There is new files that have popped out of no where

they are xxx.dll ,
yoemuw.scr
Password.txt
And many new additional shortcut links which shows the Myvideo icon, My document icon etc etc ....

I have tried Smadav
Norton Malware Cleaner

So far nothing has worked.

Can anyone out there Help me?

Thank and Regards,
VDK

Hello,

Try once again the given attrib command.

Click on Start --> In search box, type cmd. When "Command Prompt" appears in

the search then right-click on the "Command Prompt' and select the option "Run

as administrator" --> When the command prompt opens now try the attrib

command once again and wait for the process to get completed.

OR

Try this 1

1) Click on the below link and download the file "AutorunExterminator"

https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/5911-autorun-exterminator/

Extract it --> Double-click on "AutorunExterminator" --> Plug your pendrive now.

This will remove the autorun.inf files from drives and plug your handy drive to

remove the autorun.inf file from it also.

[Note : Make sure Dot Net Framework is installed in your PC.

OR

Click on the below link and download the Dot Net Framework.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en]

2) Click on Start --> In Search box, type control folders and press Enter.

"Folder Options" will be opened. Click on the "View" tab.

Now select the option "Show hidden files, folders or drives" and uncheck the

check box "Hide protected operating system files" --> Click on "OK" button.

Now look for your hidden files in your drive.

[Note : Later undo the changes you have made by once again going to "Folder

Options" --> Click on "View" tab and click on "Restore Defaults" button --> Click

on "OK".]

3) After that, download the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from the below link

https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/4621-malwarebytes-anti-malware/

Update it --> Perform "Full Scan"

Note : Default selected option is "Quick Scan".

Good Luck
