Disc drive won't read any cd/dvd

Okay so i'm only 13 so please don't be like acronyms and please tell me were to get to the stuff i need do in a easier way than you normally would if u explain things in a complex way okay so i play Sims 3 i installed some new people from the Sims website okay and my disc drive stopped reading the disk at first i thought it was Sims so i cleaned it and it didnt work so I checked in my-computer to see if it was reading it and the disc drive thing wasn't there so i tried some other discs and they didnt work either (so i have come to the conclusion its my disc drive lol dont really need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out) just wondering if you know any way to fix it i'm on vista if thats important Your address mail has been removed for your own security you need to ask more questions, regards Kai
