Looks as if your pendrive is corrupted. Unfortunately, it can't be repaired.

Sorry

Hi my friend,

Before making this conclusion, do not you think it would be better that Vinchiru tries to format the flash drive with a formatting tool such as HP USB Disk Storage which is downloadable from the link below:
https://ccm.net/downloads/tools/4639-hp-usb-disk-storage-format-tool/

If the problem still exist, that's mean the flash drive is certainly damaged.

Hello Bionik,

Yes you are right. I must be tired or is it old age catching up on me. Well what can you expect at 88, you being 66, you are still a young whipper snapper.

I'll go to bed now.

Thanks friend

Hi Vinchiru,

Follow these instructions and see if the problem still exists:

1-Click on Start

2-Right click on my computer

3-Click on manage then click on storage

4-Click on disk management

5-Right click on your device and select add letters and path, a window will pop up then click on Add then select an alphabet different of C and click on Ok.

Hi,
Unfortunely I think that Ambucias' assumption is correct, your drive is certainly corrupted and it can be repaired. Think to a buy a new one.
I had the same problem with my kingston 4gb pen drive and I found a solution. And it worked for me.

1. Format the pen drive using a Low Level Format Tool.

2. Then, Right click My Computer -> Manage -> Disk Management ( under Storage ) -> Right click on the pen drive partition -> Format.

And boom.......! Done !

Problem solved. You're good to go. (Y) :D
what if pen drive not shown in low level formate tool?
i also hv a same problem ..plz help me

Vinchiru,

What does your pen say if you plug it into another computer? Your answer will guide mine.
