Hello, I have a Dell PC with Microsoft XPS.
I want to use a router so my new Toshiba laptop can have Internet access.
I have a router which I got from my FORMER internet proider -- Century Link, which was also my home phone provider. I have never hooked it up.
I now have internet access via Brighthouse Cable, which provides my internet access, my home phone & my cable TV.
Will the Century Link router work now that I receive internet access from my cable company rather than them?
How do I set this up?
Or will I be forced to purchase a new router?
Thank you for any help.

It looks like the "Century Link router" is an all-in-one modem/router. If so it can't be used a a router in your new setup. I suggest you buy an new router.
Good Luck
