Hello. I am having problems with my external hdd. The hard drive is formatted in ntsf. My problem is that I am unable to see any of the files on the hard drive while I am running Mac OS X. When I use windows xp, it says the hard drive is either corrupt or not formatted. My main concern is that I used the hard drive perfectly fine with both Windows xp and Mac OS X 15 minutes prior to encountering this problem, any advice anyone?

It could be you have damaged the MBR when you switched it between computers. With a hard drive you MUST use the "Safely Remove Hardware" tool in the task bar. Google "MBR Repair tools". You may be able to recover the drive but no guarantee. Good Luck.
