Counter Strike is not working In my computer!

Hello,
I have downloaded counter strike carbon numerous times but once I clic on the icon it says that there is an error and seeks permission to either close the program or asks for an online check which did not help. I tried installing the game through my friends cd and that had the same problem as well. cold someoe please help m solve this issue. Its really frustrating. I own a brand new Lonovo G555. Thank You.

Did you try this

First of all right click on the icon of Counter Strike and go to properties.Then go to compatibility.Then check on the"Run this program in compatibility mode for"than select windows xp
from drop down menu.Click apply and ok.

Hello sundar7701, I did try what you asked me to. But it still hasnt helped. I'm still facing the same issue.. thank you.
