Hello, I have a problem every time I try to open a program. I get the "choose a program to open with " box. I also have a problem opening about 2/3rds of the items in my control panel. I get a box that has C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe Application not found.
I have have run anti-spyware programs and isolated a trojan horse and 2 viruses. I have tried the REGEDIT.EXE fix and several other things. I tried to download a zip fileto fix it but I couldn't open it . Can anyone help? I am running Widows XP.
Thanks, Harley man in big trouble.

Hello,

You may have a file association problem, please run the following application.

http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

Download the .EXE File Association Fix and merge it with your registry.

Let me know if you encounter problem.

Good Luck!

Did you try malware bytes?

Sometimes even the registry fix doesnot solve the EXE file association problem

You may need to run malware bytes to remove ''broken open command''

You have used two antispywares to scan infections,so it should be easy for you to run malwarebytes too
