Hello,

I changed my window registry setting after reading a solution that was given in a forum for "Rahul'sVirusprotection.vbe". According to tat i changed the registry setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current version\Winlogon [userinit = "C:windows\system32\userinit.exe"] this is wat i did. And re started my computer. When i clicked on user name it showed loading your settings message for two seconds and immediately shows logging off and again shows the user name only.
Tried restarting in safe mode and it was of no use. Please help me.

Greetings,

Make your CD/DVD player at the first place in the boot order and boot from the CD.

Then follow the instructions given to the FAQ below for repairing your system.
https://ccm.net/faq/516-repairing-windows-xp-using-cd-installation

Let me know if you encounter any other problem.

Good Luck!

Hi Jwala,

Don't panic, I'll try to do my best for solving this issue.

I see that now you can no longer connect to your desktop and the safe mode does not help too.

In that case you have to restore your system with a installation CD? Let me know your operating system and if you have a Windows installation CD.

Regards!

Hello,

No, you'll just repair your system with the Cd but don't be afraid, you'll lose nothing. Let me know if you have the cd.

GO TO RUN and type

msconfig

Select the boot.ini tab

click on ' check all boot paths''

If its asks for removing unwanted entries ,click yes

This should solve your bootup issue

Hi Jwala,

For proper installation of Windows XP, you must have the original CD with a valid

activation key. You can not have it for download because it would be pirated versions.

You can order an original CD on the official website of Windows, or purchase it from a

computer store certified by Windows.

After that, you can install Windows and make all necessary update.
