Hello,

I have an open source media player, GOM Player. I've had it for a few years and all of a sudden whenever I open it now, it says

"Failed to create skin. Please visit the homepage and update to the newest version.

Error message:
No error SkinWindow()"

I can go without it but I really prefer it to anything else. I can hear the audio of the video file perfectly. Ive tried reinstalling GOM, I have the latest version out, I tried an old version.

Could it be because I installed a Bamboo Tablet?

Thanks.

Thank you
Go to start menu and type

command prompt

Now run it as administrator and copy this command

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

enter and restart

Check gom player

Anonymous User -
I'm not sure if there is another way around.Even gom support do not have proper fix for this issue.
I would recommend to try vlc player instead

OK so the only way is to deactivate DEP? So if I did, whats the worst that could happen? I'm using VLC now but I just can't after GOM. Thanks

I find winamp is better for music but GOM for video's. Thanks for the responses all. Much appreciated

Just for the feedback, removing DEP did fix GOM Player and it works fine. Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the feedback
What is DEP? And how do you remove it? I am getting a script error message:Line:154, Char 253
Error: Unable to get property 'appendChild' of undefined or null reference
