Linksys wireless -G 2.4GHZ broadband router

I have had this router for 4 yrs. It is a version 8 model. Recently I renewed my McAfee subscription and lost my wireless network. When I click on the network connections on my desktop the Linksys connection appears but indicates the following " network cable unplugged". I have the internet connection thru my router but it does not appear to be transmitting. My laptop is not picking up the wireless network router's signal. Prior to the McAfee installation I have no problems with the router.

I'm not a tech expert. Any suggestions? Thanks

Uninstall mcafee from add or remove programs

Then run this mcafee removal tool

Install mcafee again
