Laptop blank screen help

Hello, looming for some help please, I dropped my hp g60 laptop and damaged screen i have now replaced screen and on start up i can see the faintest hp logo then bios in top right corner although virtualy impossible to notice. Is this a faulty motherboard or video flex cable. I cant get hdmi or vga output on my tv either. If it was a faulty inverter surley i would get an external output via vga or hdmi.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just been told video flex cable looks perished. not sure if i should buy a new one incase this aint the problem. any advice thanks
