My controller isnt working

Excuse me but while I am in themiddle of a game the ps3 controller doesnt work and then later it says. The controller 1 is low battery plz connect with USB cable and recharge and i do thisand it still says this PLZ

i guess the controller is busted and the battery won't recharge, get a new battery or controller, but first make sure the USB cable is actually charging it, could be a loose connection for all we know :P
